About us

Emerald Support Centre

Emerald Support Centre is dedicated to providing core legal expertise to prevent wrongful deportations and offer timely crisis intervention for migrants facing challenging situations. As a mission-driven organisation, it focuses on safeguarding the rights, dignity, and safety of vulnerable individuals and families navigating complex immigration systems.

The team combines legal knowledge with compassionate social work practices to deliver holistic support. This includes guidance on immigration procedures, access to essential services, and advocacy within the wider non-profit and community sector. By working closely with partner organisations, Emerald Support Centre helps build stronger support networks for those at risk.

Through ongoing outreach, education, and casework, Emerald Support Centre empowers migrants to understand their rights and options. The organisation strives to create lasting positive impact, reducing the risk of exploitation, family separation, and social exclusion. Every service is grounded in respect, confidentiality, and a commitment to social justice.

About the Chairperson

Pastor Akinbola Idowu Sanuade — Pst. Akin — is the Founder, Chairperson, and Chief Executive Officer of Emerald Support Welcome Centre Company Limited By Guarantee (CRO No. 796762), a registered social enterprise and non-profit making dedicated to providing community-based support to economic immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers across Counties Louth, Longford, Monaghan and all other counties in Ireland.

Pst. Akin's life and work are rooted in a pastoral calling that predates and undergirds everything he does professionally. As Senior Pastor of Pentecostal Unity Evangelical Ministry Worldwide for over 13 years, he has walked alongside individuals and families in their most vulnerable moments — offering not just spiritual guidance, but practical advocacy, counsel, and care. It is this pastoral foundation that shapes ESWC CLG's ethos: that support for the stranger must be holistic, dignified, and rooted in genuine human solidarity.

His professional background spans more than three decades and includes careers in mathematics education, international diplomacy, travel consultancy, sales, recruitment, and community development. He has worked in Nigeria for 4 years, Portugal 4 years, the United Kingdom 28 years, and Ireland for 4 years, giving him a lived understanding of what it means to navigate unfamiliar systems in an unfamiliar country — and what it takes to build a life with integrity in a new place.

ESWC CLG, which launched operations on 1 March 2026, represents the charitable expression of a vision Pst. Akin has carried for many years: that community organisations rooted in faith, professionalism, and genuine compassion can fill the gaps that statutory services cannot — and can do so in a way that restores dignity rather than dependency.

Pst. Akin also serves as Data Protection Officer for both ESWC CLG and its linked entity, Emerald Welcome Centre (CRO No. 754759), ensuring that the privacy and data rights of every person the organisations serve are fully protected.
